Authorised Company is treated as a non-resident company for tax purposes in Mauritius and is required to file an annual tax return with the Mauritius Revenue Authority (\u201cMRA\u201d) and a financial summary within six months of its balance sheet date.<\/p><p>An Authorised Company can carry out most of the business activities in Mauritius except banking, financial services, nominee services, directorship services and secretarial and trusteeship services amongst others.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5cdae836 elementor-size-default\">Eligibility criteria to apply for Authorised Company status<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d3632d8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d3632d8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>An applicant for Authorised Company should meet the following conditions:<\/p><ul><li>The majority of shares or voting rights or the legal or beneficial interest in the company, are held or controlled, as the case may be, by (a) person(s) who is\/are not a citizen(s) of Mauritius;<\/li><li>The activity(ies) of the Company is\/are being conducted principally outside Mauritius or with such category of persons as may be specified in FSC Rules; and<\/li><li>The Company is required to have its central management and control outside Mauritius.<\/li><\/ul><p>The authorised Company must have a registered office and agent in Mauritius.
