At that\ntime, it was understood by few and mastered by fewer. There were many\nchallenges but together we remained resilient. We have worked hard to remain\ncompetitive with the international market. Today, it is one of the key pillars\nof our economy. This year, a new era unfolds for the Mauritius International\nFinancial Centre<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This November 2022 marks the\ncelebration of 30 years\nof Mauritius International Financial Centre. The first brick was laid in 1992\nwith the enactment of Mauritius Offshore Business Activities (MOBA) Act and\nsetting up of MOBA (regulator for non-banking financial services sector\nreplaced by Financial Services Commission). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The public and private sector are\ncoming together to offer an unprecedented calendar of events during this whole\nyear until October 2023 which will include special events, webinars ,\nconferences, promotional campaigns, roadshows amongst others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>30 years ago in 1992, Mauritius had set out on a new journey to develop its financial services sector.
